How do I record if I saw a caterpillar instead of an adult butterfly?

To change the life stage information (the default is adult), click on the small pen icon that appears when you fill in the number of individuals in the checklist page of 'Submit Observations'. Once you select the pen icon, a popup will give you drop-down menu where you can change Adult to Caterpillar or Egg or Pupa.
