Does eButterfly reveal the exact location of species of conservation concern?

No. The exact locations of species of conservation concern are not presented to the public in our maps and graphs.

Also, users always have the option to label a record as public, sensitive or confidential. Only records labeled public are open to all in the database and are used to generate the public maps. Sensitive or confidential records will appear in your personal account (see My eButterfly) and in the account of the users who you shared these observations with. Only our database administrators have access to sensitive and confidential records.
